Getting Started with Padlet

Padlet is an interactive online bulletin board. Students can post text, video, audio, images, links, drawings, and more. Padlet Backpack is designed to help teachers and students collaborate easily in a private environment.

You can request access to Chapman's Padlet Account Links to an external site.

After you have received access to the Chapman Padlet Account, log into into chapmanuniversity1.padlet.org, not padlet.com these are two separate websites.

Create Padlets

Click the Make a padlet button on the top-right side of your screen.

When you select this option you will need to choose from the different format options, shown below. You can hover over each option to preview it.

The format will determine the structure of your padlet. Here is how posts are arranged in each Padlet layout:

Canvas Links to an external site.: Formerly known as the freeform layout, Canvas allows contributors to drag posts anywhere on the padlet. You can scatter, group, and connect posts with Canvas.
Timeline Links to an external site.: Posts will be ordered in a horizontal line, perfect for presenting content in chronological order.
Wall: Links to an external site. Posts will be ordered in a brick-like layout, choosing the most compact arrangement for the posts.
Grid: Links to an external site. Posts are arranged in rows of boxes.
Map Links to an external site.: Allows contributors to add content to pinned locations on a map.
Stream Links to an external site.: Organize posts in a top-to-bottom format, ideal for daily entries and presentations.

Students Add to the Padlet

Please share this link with your students to gain access to the Padlets you create. Share a padlet with users outside our organization.
