Getting Started with Zoom

All faculty and instructors have access to Zoom licenses.

Sign in at https://chapman.zoom.us Links to an external site. to activate your account. Sign in with your Chapman email address and password.

Students do not need a Zoom account to attend Zoom meetings (unless the host of a Zoom meeting has turned on authentication).  As long as authentication isn't required, the only person who needs a licensed account is the "host" of the meeting, such as the instructor.

If students need to use web conferencing to collaborate on assignments outside of the instructor's Zoom meeting, they can use:

• Google Hangouts
• Canvas Conferences (BigBlueButton)
• Microsoft Teams
• Zoom (up to 40 minutes)
