Adding Private/Public Comments
Qwickly Attendance allows instructors to add comments to Attendance Records. Comments are set to private by default.
Comments can be added to a record in two different areas:
- When Manually Taking Attendance
- When updating a record through the Attendance Record screen
Making a comment public to the student
In order to make a comment publicly visible to the student, the instructor needs to update the record from the Attendance Record screen. They will see an option above the comment box which says Visible to Students. The instructor can click on this and update the record, which will make the comment visible to students.
This comment will then be visible to students when they open Attendance.
Attendance in Grades
If you selected the Total Points or Per Session option in your settings, the points will appear automatically in the Grades.
By default the Attendance will also appear in the Assignments area. If you weight your grades you will have to assign the assignment to the appropriate assignment group. Qwickly Attendance: Grading Integration Links to an external site..
-If you do not want the first absence to not count against the students, make a custom statute called "first absence". Points 0% and Absence 0%.
