How to submit a Google Assignments (LTI 1.3) cloud assignment in Canvas

With Google Assignments (LTI 1.3), instructors can provide a copy of a Google document, spreadsheet, or presentation for each assigned student to edit.

How to submit a Google Assignments (LTI 1.3) cloud assignment in Canvas

Navigate to your Canvas course.

Navigate to the assignment.

Note: if this is your first time using this tool, you will be prompted to sign in and link your Google account.

Under Your files, click to open the file that your instructor has provided in a new tab and edit the file.

Alternatively, you can select the Open to attach and submit button to attach an existing file from your Google Drive or create a new file.

If your instructor has turned on the originality report, you can run the originality report to check for missing citations and possible plagiarism.

         

       

Select the Submit button when you are ready to submit your assignment.
