Use the camera on your phone or tablet for your assignment submission

Please do the following if you want to take a picture of a written document, whiteboard, or a screenshot on your tablet device for your assignment submission. The assignment must be created by your instructor to allow jpg to be a submission type:

Submission types: File Upload with File Types: jpg

Log in to the Canvas Student App

Locate the Course

On the Canvas App, locate and tap the name of the course you'd like to view.

Locate the assignment (either in the modules section or assignments section). Tap the name of the assignment.

Open the Assignment

Tap the Submit Assignment button.

Tap the File Upload link.

Select Media Source Andriod Device

Select Upload Source

To take a photo (such as a paper or whiteboard), from your camera, tap the Camera icon [1].

To select an image from your gallery, tap the Gallery icon [2].

To select a media file you have already recorded or a picture you have already taken from your device folders, tap the Device icon [3].

Using the file picker, select the source you wish to upload your media file.

To record an audio submission using your device, tap the Audio link [1].

To record a video submission using your device or take a picture (such as a paper or whiteboard), tap the Camera link [2].

To select a media file you have already recorded or a picture you have already taken, from your device library, tap the Library link [3].

To select a media file from your device files, tap the Files link [4].

To scan a file (such as a paper) with your device, tap the Scanner link [5].

Verify the file you have chosen for submission [1]. Then tap the Submit link [2].

Under Grade, it will state, Successfully submitted!
