Zoom offers excellent training Links to an external site. on how to use their platform. Because some instructors may require authentication in order to prevent Zoombombers, we recommend you log in to Zoom using your Chapman email address before joining any Zoom meetings.
Students may go to https://chapman.zoom.us Links to an external site. to log in to Zoom. Please note that student accounts are not licensed and are subject to limitations (such as a meeting limit of 40 minutes when you are the host of the meeting). This meeting limitation does not apply when you are an attendee of a meeting (such as during a class).
Be sure to log out of any personal Zoom accounts you may have and use the SSO method to log in when using any Zoom app or client.
Other platforms your instructor may use include:

- Microsoft Teams: Log in to Office 365 for free to get started using Microsoft Teams
- Google Meet or Hangouts: Log in to Google Workspace for free to get started using Google Meet or Hangouts
Students often ask to have their Zoom account upgraded so that they may have meetings of greater than 40 minutes. Because students have unlimited web conferencing time available using Google Meet/Hangouts and Microsoft Teams, we will not be upgrading Zoom. Please use Google Meet, Google Hangouts, or Microsoft Teams instead.
